POEM: MARS
🌹🗡️🌹
the flames of a fire
in the hearth is contained
a vision, unbroken
while his name is ingrained
a red giant sits amongst
his celestial crew
don’t judge all his bounty
for he hunts within you
when you’re hot in the face
and your mind’s in confusion
starting wars over nothing,
made up dreams and illusions
when the blood boils over
that’s his force charging through
with his army of impulse
that’s the hunt within you
he’ll take what he’ll get
and he gets what he wants
whether passion or madness
it’s desire that taunts
but what if the wars
were to destroy all the lies,
all the dramas and stories
stuck in cycles of time
and what if his weapons
were to protect all the light,
battling upside down virtue
that feeds upon fight
beauty is trapped
in a cold cage of divide
that reeks its own havoc,
an equation, multiplied
and man is just prisoner
of his very own war
while he’s holding the key
looking straight at the door
toward a chamion of freedom
of vision and truth
with the courage to conquer
and lead one to youth
with his ram by his side
and a scorpion’s sting
his strength’s not in numbers
for he’s already king
love is severe
(and merciful too)
so taste what is bitter
it is medicine for you
